Janwar — Genocide Resistance & Rights (JRR) — is an organization from Kurdistan with a global focus on genocide and human rights. Our current focus is the history and continuing experiences of Kurdish communities. We believe that remembering the past and defending the rights of people today belong to the same responsibility.
Our approach
Memory, dignity and solidarity guide our work. We aim to make room for thoughtful discussion, responsible storytelling and the voices of affected communities. From Kurdistan, we work with a perspective open to the wider world.
